Matt Kizaur believes the best steps on the path to health and wellness for the mind, body, and spirit begin with the journey inward. By better understanding and honoring ourselves, we can live more genuine, self-actualized lives. In finding compassion for ourselves, we can manifest greater compassion for others through the choices we make and how we communicate. Our greatest ally in having a rich and fulfilling life is found within.
Schedule some time with Matt to see where your journey leads.
For over 20 years, Matt has worked in Health and Human Services as an educator, advocate, coach, and counselor. Matt’s breadth and depth of personal and professional experience, and his creative approaches to clinical counseling, coaching, and consulting, provide him the tools necessary to effectively partner with individuals, couples, peer relationships, and groups seeking to manifest healthy changes. In his personal time, Matt enjoys the outdoors, traveling, writing and building creative content, and teaching Tai Chi and Martial Arts.
Wakeful Pathways Coaching and Consulting
In his work helping others, Matt developed Wakeful Pathways, a program designed to help individuals, groups, and organizations create mindful steps toward actionable wellness. Focusing on nine key components (respect, kindness, empathy, patience, compassion, effort, empowerment, responsibility, and unity), Wakeful Pathways engenders healing and self-actualization in mind, body, and spirit, using the anchoring concept of wakeful movement. Key elements are derived from socioemotional learning strategies; movement-specific therapeutic traditions like Yoga, Tai Chi, Qigong; existential therapy; and emotional regulation theories and techniques. In understanding and utilizing the concepts in this nine-part program, individuals can manifest actionable steps toward creating balanced choices in their own lives, their circles, and their organizations. Choices built upon healing and self-actualization are the building blocks to health, wellness, and productivity.

A Note from Matt
The path inward may be frightful or uncertain. At times our own minds create twisted trails and block passages to healing mentally, emotionally, and physically. Allow me to help you on your journey and counsel you in becoming your own greatest pathfinder. Resilience means the ability to become adaptable to changes, to allow ourselves to stay on the path, even in the midst of storms. Through the choices we make in thinking, feeling, and acting, we can allow the truest, most resilient, versions of ourselves. I look forward to talking with you.
All are welcome, honored, and respected.
